What fails in a tablet
Almost every fault that comes in with a tablet starts in one of six parts. Knowing which part is at fault makes the price easier to understand.
Screen
Cracked glass, streaks, spots, or a touch layer that responds in the wrong place. A large, thin tablet screen breaks more easily than a phone’s: a drop or pressure in a backpack is enough.

The tablet drains within hours, shuts down with charge left, or runs hot. A swollen battery lifts the screen or bends the case — do not charge such a tablet.

Charging port
The tablet charges only at a certain cable angle, very slowly, or not at all. Before replacing the port we first clean it and check the cable and charger.

Camera
Blurry photos, a black image, or the camera app closes. After a drop it is usually the module or its cable that is damaged, not the lens itself.

Water damage and board
Corrosion on the board starts within hours. A tablet may work for a day or two and then stop turning on — so a wet tablet should not be switched on or charged.

From the outside, different faults look alike: the tablet will not charge or barely works. Below is what we most often find once it is opened and what the fix costs from.

If you repair with us, the diagnostics fee is deducted from the final price. If you decide not to repair, you pay only for diagnostics and take the tablet back.
Before you bring the tablet
A few things worth doing before you come. They shorten the inspection and protect your data.
Why it matters
When we replace a screen, battery or port, the data on the tablet stays. But if the fault involves the board or the tablet got wet, we cannot always save everything — so a backup is the only guarantee.
What to do
- If the tablet works, make a backup (iCloud, Google or on a computer)
- Know the screen lock code — without it we cannot test the camera, sound and other functions
- Remove the case, keyboard and screen protector, if they are not cracked
- If the tablet got wet — do not switch it on or charge it
- Bring the original cable and charger if you suspect the tablet itself is not at fault
When it is worth repairing
A screen, battery or port replacement usually pays off, especially for more expensive tablets. Repairing the oldest and cheapest models can cost almost as much as a new tablet — we tell you that after diagnostics too.

Tablets fail in similar ways, but they differ in screen size, parts cost and how expensive a given part is to replace. Below are price ranges by brand from our price list.
Apple iPad
iPad (5th, 8th, 9th and 10th gen), Air 2–4 and Air 13, Mini 5 and 6, Pro 11, 12.9 and 13 inch
Screen from €69, battery from €59, charging port from €45. In newer iPads the glass and panel are a single part, so the whole screen is replaced, and Pro and Mini 6 screens cost up to €239. Some models also have an original-screen option.
Samsung Galaxy Tab
Tab A, A8, S2, S3, S5e, S6 Lite, S7 FE, S8, S8 Ultra, S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra
Screen from €89, battery and charging port €49 each. Replacing the screen on the largest Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra starts at €299.
Huawei MatePad and MediaPad
MatePad 10.4, 11, 11.5, SE, T10s, Pro; MediaPad M3 Lite, M5, M5 Lite, T3 and T5
Screen from €55, battery from €29, back glass from €39, camera from €39. Tablets without Google services are repaired like any other — the repair covers only the hardware.
Xiaomi Pad

The lowest part prices in our list: screen from €49, battery from €29, back glass and camera from €35. For Pro models the screen starts at €95 and the battery at €45.

What tablet fault signs mean
A sign shows the effect, not the cause. Below are the most common cases and what we find behind them.
- The tablet charges very slowly or not at all
iPad, Android
What we find: We check the cable and charger first: a tablet needs a stronger one than a phone. If they are fine, we look at the port — dust collects in it and the contacts may be loose. If the port is fine too, the battery is more often at fault.
- The screen flickers, shows bands or dots
All models
What we find: The panel or its cable is damaged. A tablet screen is large and thin, so it breaks easily from a drop or pressure, and the problem usually spreads.
- The screen is lifted or the case is bowed
All models
What we find: That is a swollen battery. Do not charge or use such a tablet — bring it in as soon as you can.
- I touch one spot and another one reacts
All models
What we find: The touch layer is damaged, most often after a drop. Even if the glass is intact, the screen usually has to be replaced.
- The tablet drains fast or shuts down with charge left
iPad, Android
What we find: Most often a worn battery. If the tablet also runs hot, the battery is worth replacing without delay.
- No image, but the tablet is running (you can hear sound)

What we find: The screen or its cable may be faulty. Before deciding, we check whether the tablet responds to charging and the buttons.

We inspect the tablet and find the cause. Diagnostics cost €12.90 and are deducted from the repair price.

We tell you what is broken and what it will cost. We start only with your agreement.
Repair and check
We replace the part and test the screen, touch, camera, sound and charging before handing it back.
You collect it with a warranty
The repair comes with a written warranty of at least 3 months.
