My DeLonghi does not brew coffee — what is broken?

The usual causes are a clogged or jammed brew unit, a worn pump, and scale in the water circuit. The machine typically hums but nothing reaches the cup. We can only identify the cause after opening the machine: from the outside all three faults look the same.

The machine shows “Insert brew unit” — what should I do?

First remove the unit, rinse it with warm water without detergent and refit it until it clicks. If the message keeps coming back, the unit drive has most likely jammed or the seals have worn — that requires opening the machine, from €49.

My DeLonghi will not grind — is it worth repairing?

Almost always yes. The most common cause is a stone or metal object caught between the burrs, less often worn burrs or a failed drive. Grinder repair and replacement starts at €79, while a new machine of the same class costs several times more.

How much does DeLonghi coffee machine cleaning cost?

Internal cleaning with descaling starts at €25. This is not the same as the machine’s own cleaning program: we open the machine, remove deposits from the boiler and tubing, and clean the brew unit and milk system of accumulated coffee oils.

Are you an authorised DeLonghi service centre?

No — we are an independent repair shop, not a manufacturer-authorised centre. If your machine is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, contact the seller first so you do not lose it. Once that warranty has expired we repair the machine and provide our own warranty from 3 months.
